Masterpiece Art Fair, London

The Masterpiece art fair returned to London in 2011 for the second time. Building on its success from the previous year, the show brought together 150 of the best known dealers in the art and antiques world for a five day event, presenting for sale a huge range of valuable and exquisite items.

The fair proved popular with professionals and the public alike as crowds flocked to the new setting in the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea. RCL supplied over 700 light fixtures to 17 separate exhibitors for the event - more than double the figure from 2010.

Lighting is critical when it comes to displaying art. The flexibility offered by RCL’s spotlights allows the user to position the beam exactly where they want it and dim it to the perfect intensity, ensuring the best possible lighting every time. And all this is done from floor level using a simple handheld remote control.

Exhibitors who used RCL spotlights at the show included, Philip Mould, Daniel Katz, Carlton Hobbs, Kentshire Galleries and John Carlton Smith. In addition, Tomasso Brothers Fine Art returned to the show with over 80 RCL DR2s, having being introduced to them at the previous event and subsequently installing nearly a hundred in their new gallery at Dove Walk, London.
