The Palace Hotel Tokyo (formerly The Palace Hotel) has quickly reestablished itself as one of Tokyo’s leading luxury hotels after reopening earlier this year. For nearly fifty years the hotel offered travelers a sanctuary from the outside world and was lauded for its modern facilities and distinctive architecture.

In 2009, the hotel closed its doors to undergo an extensive redevelopment. After three years of work and an investment of over one billion US dollars, the property is once again open for business. Drawing inspiration from its illustrious history, the 290-room property is set to redefine hospitality with a continued commitment to delivering the finest home-grown amenities.

Central to this are the hotel’s extensive meeting and event facilities, which feature eight multi-purpose rooms. The spaces are both vast and intimate and have been designed to offer maximum versatility for a variety of events. As part of the hotel’s pledge to offer “the most sophisticated audio visual technologies available”, DR8 LED luminaires were specified by UK-based Planning International for use in the hotel’s lobby and conference rooms. In total, 50 spotlights are split across the different areas including the Aoi ballroom, where LED table pinspotting is listed as a key feature.
